The Australian Domain Authority auDA has amended some domain licensing rules around .au domains which may affect some customers.
On the 12th of April 2021, a new set of rules for the .au country code Top Level Domain will come into effect. These include .com.au, .net.au, and .org.au ccTLD namespaces.
What are the changes?
An email will be sent to you in mid January 2021 if you meet the following criteria:
- Registrants who currently hold a .com.au or .net.au domain name where the eligibility criteria is listed as a Trade Mark and the renewal date is after the 12th of April 2021.
- Registrants who currently hold a .org.au domain name where the eligibility criteria is listed as an unincorporated association and the renewal date is after the 12th of April 2021.
